Peanut Butter Banana Granola

I feel like Elvis everytime i eat this.

Be warned though! this recipe makes a measly mount if you are known to consume excessive amounts of toasted oats.
(especially since this one has peanut butter)

The only way i justified finished the whole batch in a day (Alone!) was that it was full of good-for-me peanut butter, and natural sweeteners and nuts. Good, right?

I hope so.

I got a bit carried away with the photography this time round, so i thought i would take all of you on a virtual tour of my new favourite food.

I know your stomach is growling. Man i can hear it from here. Do yourself a favour and whip up a batch so that your tummy will stop that nonsence.

Banana Bread

When life gives you overripe bananas, make banana bread.

This is the one of the best banana breads i have ever tasted.
Considering i have tasted some pretty darn good banana breads.

I must say it was a bit on the dry side, though.
But maybe it was because my teensy itty bitty overripe bananas didn't quite come up to 1 cup once i mushed them up ruthlessly with my fork.

But moistness aside. It's a keeper.

Applesauce Granola

As you may have noticed,
i am hooked on granola.

Whenever we don't have a jar of ready-to-snack-on granola on the countertop, i freak out and make some more.

It's a guilty little thing, isn't it?
Granola.
Full of nuts and seeds and sweeteners and oils.

Until i found this one that uses applesauce instead.

You don't have to loose out on the crunch if you wish to forefit the oil.
It tastes of apple pie, together with the cinnamon.

The best thing about all granola recipes is their versatility.
You hate sesame seeds? Leave 'em out!
Prefer maple syrup? Go ahead!
Not a sultana-lover? Use Rasins instead!

Come on.
You know you countertop is calling out for it.

Coconut Maple Granola

So what do you do when you need to finish off the excess maple syrup in your fridge, have milo tins full of rolled oats and close-to-expiry-date walnuts and coconuts? Why, you make granola, of course. i made a small batch this time. About three cups, actually. I finshed it all in one day. That's how much i love granola.
Taa-daa!
is it weird that i still want more?

Maple-Flax Granola

You know what i like better than Granola bars?
Granola.

Just because.

So i wanted Granola and i went off to the nearby Fairprice thinking i could find me a box for a fair price (get it?)

Well, apparently fair price is false advertising because $15 for a small box of honey granola is a rip off.
So being the ever thrifty girl that i am, i decided to MAKE my own granola.
(yes, you can do that!)

And it was so good.
I'll bet i could give quaker a run for their money, i swear.

I will sell this in my shop when i grow up.
Oh, Pamela and me have developed a future business partnership.
i shall start a bakery with shit loads of cream puffs and what-have-you and pamela will start a slimming center.

Are you dying for granola too?
